I purchased a Glock 19 about 18 year ago, ( used at that time, LE turn in). I know that I had ran about 8000 Rounds through it over the years and yes there were a lot of hand loads during that time both lead and jacketed . I noticed it developed a crack in the frame above the trigger. I gave Glock a call last month and they said send it in and they would fix it up. I asked them about what the charge would be and they said they would let me know after looking at it.
Well this is a list of what it needed. Its a long list.

Inspected; Replaced Frame, Locking Block, Pins. Trigger assembly, Slide stop Lever, Magazine Catch, Side Lock Spring, Extractor,
Firing Pin Assembly, Reassemble and Clean. Meets factory Specs. Total cost with shipping. $ 00.00.

What can I say I am a happy shooter. That is a lot of work for no charge. This Glock is my main carry gun and I have felt naked for the last six weeks. I know that's not a pretty thought.

Well if the rain and snow will stop tomorrow, I will take it to the range so we can get to know each other again. Ill never talk down about Glock

P.S. They returned it in a new case also.

That's as good as it gets!!

I have on order with my dealer a Glock 30 Gen 4. Hopefully they will be available soon. Great to hear how well Glock treats their customers.

Good to know, thanks for the post, I only have several hundred rounds in my G21, (without issue)

I can second that sentiment! This spring I picked up a 1988 production G19, EZ *** for 300$. Same deal, frame had cracked on the left side of the trigger guard. I attributed it to the very light aftermarket recoil spring. Anyway, called Glock, they said send it in and they will look at it. Waited for the call with what I owed and ~ 4 weeks later, a brand new Gen 3 G19 lower arrived to be mated with my upper. Great service from Glock

I'm going to go out on a limb here, Buckshot and addict, I'll bet the pistols still functioned fine, and the cracks were discovered while cleaning. ??

Yes M25! It was still running strong. I had shot about a 100 rounds through it the day I found the crack. Not sure when it happened, but I didn't find it until it hit the bench at home.

Might well have worked. I am a Glock armorer so I wanted to tear it down and see what had been put in and clean the crud of 22 years out of it. Saw the crack and called Smyrna before trying to shoot it.
