What can I say I am a happy shooter. That is a lot of work for no charge. This Glock  is my main carry gun and I have felt naked for the last six weeks. I know that's not a pretty thought. :o

Get a back up carry gun! You should never have to feel Naked again unless you really are, and if you are flow with it just don't tell us! ;)

Could the crack be caused by continued use of +p ammo? Maybe the use of light aftermarket springs or worn springs be at fault?

I know the Glock frame has been updated a couple of times since the first Glock 17 went out the door.

IIRC, at least part of these upgrades where to strength the frame rails in the frame.  May or may not have been a factor in these cracks.

You can read a lot of stuff about tupperware guns on some of these threads.  But my Model 27 has been my primary carry piece for close to 10 years.  I've pumped a bunch of ammo through it--and a bunch of that was reloads--with nary a problem or a jam.  Still, it's great to hear that Glock customer service is there if it's ever needed.  Real glad to hear they turned things around pretty fast, too.

Never thought I'd be saying this, but I think I'm going to get a Glock.  All the tales of great customer service and durability are causing me to get beyond the butt-ugliness of the platform.

Any idea when the new model 19 is going to be available?  That's the 9mm model with the 4" barrel, right?
