I saw this yesterday on tv and my wife and I could't believe it! Jack boots, spying, and dirty tricks come to mind...1984...intimidation...what an absolutely LOUSY ad campaign.  If I lived in PA I would want someone fired over it.
I got the blues as my companion.

I for one like it, in the same way I like Muslim activists who quite openly disavow 1st ammendment rights and feminism and illegal alien activists who proclaim that the border should be erased not enforced. Good for them. Let people know who the enemy is. That is exactly the kind of wakeup call people need to understand why government power is not to be trusted.  If I were challenging any incumbent in Pa., I'd sure as hell be using a version of that ad as my main TV spot. >:(

I saw this add, and think I know who it's aimed at. PA has no reciprocity agreement with NY/NYC.  Those working there and commuting from here often recover all taxes NY collects (if any) and then don't pay PA a cent.  All other border states collect PA tax for us, and we for them.

But I agree it is Orwellian and quite chilling.  Better to just find a few serious deadbeats and pillory them. PA will work with those in legitimate financial distress.

BTW, so will your credit card companies, etc. AS LONG AS YOU TELL THEM UP FRONT.
Anti: I think some of you gentleman would choose to apply a gun shaped remedy to any problem or potential problem that presented itself? Your reverance (sic) for firearms is maintained with an almost religious zeal. The mind boggles! it really does...

Me: Naw, we just apply a gun-shaped remedy to those extreme life threatening situations that call for it. All the less urgent problems we're willing to discuss.

As a side note to this:
Believe it or not, my CC company representative actually mentioned to me in an unrelated phone conversation about how to knock a chunk out of my balance. He said that was what I was paying the premiums for and there was a 10 year retroactive claim period. He went back all the way to '03 and filed a retroactive claim on my creditshield insurance (that I had been paying premiums on monthly, but forgot about) where I was incapacitated for a while from a motorcycle accident. They did a few calculations on interest and balance from back at the time of the accident, my doctor filled out a form, and they ended up taking over half my current balance away.

I don't know about PA, but the IRS gives you a cut, if you tip them on to some one.      I know a GC that narced on one of his subs after having probs with them on a job, he got like 3 or 4 grand out the deal.


The IRS generally will not make a deal with you, unless you can prove that you have attempted to get a loan...
