I found the uncensored version on line in my investigation, viewed it a couple dozen times and surmised that there are better sites online he should consider.

Heck, lookin' at porn on a laptop beats the hell out of what most of the rest of them are doing while 'at work'........  :o  :o

I'm with Peg on this one. It looks like he was checking his email.

There was an ABC radio news report a few weeks ago that the financial reform was going to start with the SEC.  Part of the story was that an SEC employee was reportedly surfing and downloading porn on company time for YEARS.  I somehow doubt that as every government agency I have dealt with the Sys Admin's have you sign a form saying you won't do that and the traffic is monitored.  If you're caught doing something wrong they can fire you on the spot.  My mom had a guy that accidentally hit whitehouse.COM instead of .GOV and immediately backed out but his machine was disabled for the next couple days and there was a warning about going to inappropirate sites on his desk the next day.

Perhaps it's a learning "initiative", ya know watch people "screw", so you learn how to "screw" the folks more effectively.

Maybe I was wrong in my initial assessment.

My bad,.. :P

That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."

Remember, this is the government .  The system is only going to work as well as it is kept up tp date, monitored, and followed up.  Additionally there are ways around the firewalls and filters.  I have know doubt that an SEC employee could do this for years.

More importantly, they're only going to give you crap about this, or day trading or what have you, if it becomes an issue, someone complains or your boss is looking to fire you. I dated a sys admin for a bit at UT. She said she couldn't belive some of the stuff on people's hard drives. No one said a word though. The idea being that the only reason you got fired for what was on your computer is if your boss wanted you gone anyway and the computer was the handiest documentable excuse. My advice? Be nice to your boss and leave the porn at home. Oh, wait, I mean, what is porn? Is that really on the internet, and what would sweet little M'lette think if she knew we referenced it? (Particularly if there were a certain picture of her running through sprinklers wearing nothing but cowboy boots and a smile). ;D
FQ13 who oddly enough thniks his chances of winning the next DRTV giveaway are pretty good. ;) Just kidding M'lette.
