You miss the point. Cinco de Mayo celebrates the Battle of Puebla, a victory of Mexico over France. Eating French food is just too much irony to pass up. France, the only nation that lost a war to Mexico AND Haiti. Mexico, the only country who thought beating the French was worth creating a national holiday over. ;D ;D I have near equal regard for both.

I'm sorry, but if the Mexicans thought it was "such a great day", they wouldn't need to celebrate it HERE! They did it, not us! Let 'em celebrate it ALL they want down there. French food is for woosy's!  And so is wine and Cognac! You may be a Professor of Politics, but your palette and choice of cuisine sucks!  Just not most AMERICANS cup o'tea!   (no offense intended, your intelligence surpasses your tastes!) LMAO!

This is the sad thing. The Sun are doing this to save themselvs from boycotts etc. Here's a clue, there are more Chinese, (3) than 
Mexicans, (2) in the NBA. Hell, there were two jewish players until last year and nobody had a star of David or a Chinese dragon on the uniform. Most AAs don't particularly like MAs, particularly illegalls and white folks are getting tired of the immigration issue as well. Leaving morarity and politics aside (you know where I stand, but others do have a serious case to make) putting "Viva los Illegals' on jerseys seems like a real bad idea business wise.
