I saw the game on SportsCenter today.... it looked like a fullhouse, but it was a playoff game after all. It does not surprise me that with the cost/desirability of the tickets that not many would protest.

Some of those tickets were sold a year ago anyway.  At those prices, not too many people are gonna stay home.

I was in LA twenty some years ago when the Lakers made the finals against the Celtics.  Being a Lakers fan (I know!  Misguided) at the time I called the Forum and asked to get a "nosebleed" seat anywhere in the building and was willing to pay up to about 500 bucks.

the lady laughed at me and explained that the Forum was sold out for the playoffs for several years into the future...

I watched the whole series from the comfort of my RAMADA Inn hotel room in San Clemente, room service and a quart or two of 12 year old Scots whiskey....

Exactly, They knew the move couldn't hurt them at least in the short term. The money has already been spent. Question is, how long peoples memories are.

God grant that I may not be found wanting,
that I will not fail this sacred trust.

In my experience, rather short......It's only been 234 years and it's no longer acceptable to fly the American Flag in front of our schools.....
