Talked to a SEAL, who's reserves now, a couple weeks back and he said that the mass exodus has begun. He used the word 'exodus'. The only thing keeping people now is the money apparently. Claims that the current deployments are abusive in their length nowadays. They've got people that have been over seas for six or seven years.
He's a wimp.

Guys left during WWII and didn't come home till they were wounded, or Killed. Just the end of the war was not enough to be rotated home, They had to have enough points. These guys nowadays have basically year on year off. Waah.
As for the "Exodus" don't blame them a bit. As the Country is now it does not deserve their sacrifice.
Agreed on politicians. The rest is pure BS. We should serve out of the goodness of our hearts? We should be happy to take a bullet, educate your kid in an underfunded school, or haul your sorry self to an ER because we're nice guys? Meanwhile, if we took our skills into the private sector we would have to suffer the indignity of a real paycheck? Due respect, but that's a load of crap. Don't lowball me on salary and tell me I'm lucky to serve. Pay me fair market value for what I do, and I'll decide what the benefits of serving are worth to me. Rant over.
FQ13
That's BS FQ. The most heavily funded schools in America are in Detroit, where a Freshman has a better chance of going to prison than completing High School because the Union protected overpaid incompetent teachers are driving a 75% (yes, that's seventyfive percent ) Drop out rate.
You liberals and fake Libertarians say America's education system lags behind third world countries on test scores, but you avoid asking how you are getting your butts kicked by schools that don't have a tenth of the money or resources that get pissed away here.
Based on competitive testing most teachers should be glad they are not out on their azz.
And I don't want to hear any crap from FQ about "I DO MY JOB", because I'm the guy who corrects all the erronious historical statements you make.
