Paranoia can't help but creep in after watching that video.  It's hard enough to protect yourself without having to worry about whether or not your insurance agency, bank, etc. is actually securing your personal information.

Not mine!!!   I haven't been able to find a copier with a wide-angle lens.

This is going to be a big deal for some companies, how many copiers have been recycled from the IRS? You can easily think of many others, NASA, NSA, etc...

I can say with some degree of certainty that any copier that handles senstive/classified data does not have a hard drive in it.  The ones that do have the "clean" feature plus there are four pages of procedures to verify that there is no information left on it when disposing of them.

I asked our Security Manager and she verified that the machines we use don't have drives.  Can't guarantee other agencies but DoD and IC (three letter) alphabet soup go to RIDICULOUS lengths to make sure things don't leak.  Not to say it doesn't happen but...
