I know I am preaching to the choir but even after being in the gun rights movement for now on 18 years (Yeap Clinton got me started) I still find it overwhelming disappointing that VERY FEW media people have a clear view of the real world. Any time anyone says the media is doing fine I ask them to pick ANY SUBJECT that they themselves know well. When watching the media grade the media on how accurately the media cover that subject. Do they know what they are talking about or are they just guessing or misleading their knowledge level? After grading them on a subject they know (Usually a failing grade) keep in mind the media will treat EVERY subject with the same indifference to facts. This is BEFORE you take in account their clear bias against firearms owners.

That's a good technique to use ,even when somebody doesn't say they think the media is doing fine.  The next time some anti  tarts to mutter about gun control, or whatever, I'm going to ask them what "news" source they're getting their information from  and then use this process on them.

In Philly someone saved a 10 yr old girls being attacked by a Pitbull by shooting the dog.  The fact that the gun and the brave citizen were the reason behind a little girl girl NOT getting mauled or worse gets buried in the headlines and it is conveniently missing from the 6:00 news.

I was in 3rd Inf Div. G2 Section when I was in the service.  We found it useful to monitor the enemies communications.
