And the conservative Republicans are any better? Since when did W., McConnell and Boehner become Rhinos? The day after Pelosi became a Blue Dog? These are the folks that were incharge when this mess started to gain critical mass. Now they're saying, if it only weren't for the MaCains and Crist's we'd be better off? Sorry, not buying it.  Too many Tea Partiers are.
FQ13 who thinks we don't have an idology problem, we have an arrogant self-serving incumbent problem

In answer to your question, when they started ACTING like RINO's.

I didn't expect you to buy it, much like so many here have a tough time buying your "libertarian" proclamation.
I love waking up every morning knowing that Donald Trump is President!!

Believe what you want tt. I'm telling you this. If you replace every rhino and dem with a conservative in the mold of the current conservative leadership on the hill and don't change that leadership? In 6 years or less we'll be right back here. Rember W. was the right's darling in 2000. Where were we in 2006 in terms of spending, borrowing, arrogance, special interests, immigration etc? Just sayin'.

The problem is, as I see it, that there is NO "current conservative leadership".  The Republican party has done it's level best to rush to the left to take up the positions vacated by the Democrats in their march to socialism.  The most attractive conservative candidate to come along in a generation doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell of winning the White House because she was so completely trashed by the mainstream media in the last cycle to elect a POTUS.  And no matter what she says or does, the people who get their information from Saturday Night Live are gonna believe that she said she could see Russia from her house.

Perhaps I'm just a defeatist, or maybe I'm a realist, but with the current situation I truly fear for the future of our Republic.  The battle may well already be lost.  The current POTUS was able to fool enough of the people in 2008 to get himself elected, as well as a wide COngressional majority.  The damage that's already been done, plus the damage that is to come before the 2012 POTUS election may not EVER be possible to undo without an armed revolution.  I hope I'm wrong.  But I don't see anybody viable emerging to lead us back to the "shining city on the hill".

TT

I agree with everything you've said, however the one thing we have going for us THIS year is the November elections.  Congress hasn't the balls to pass any meaningful legislatiion in the next five months.  It may not stop the Post Turtle in Chief but it will surely slow him down.

A good housecleaning in November might stop him, at least one can hope.

timothy....who wonders why Kagen gets a "wait and see" from the Quaker with NO experience while Palin get's a hands down "No Way she's qualified!"...

Well, the "Tea Party" has just given us Rand Paul who beat the "Republican Machine" candidate. Also Specter is finally history because many of the dems are fed up with the far left, along with Hussein who is fast turning into poison for whomever he supports politically. Don't sell these people short. If they change the RINOS into real Republicans, like they seem to have done with McCain, what's wrong with that? I'm not getting this?

There seems to be no pleasing some voters. The RINOS see where their stand is taking them, and more of the same will simply provide them with the task of rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic. This has the opportunity to be the best election for conservatives in this nations history, period. The "Tea Party" is one of the biggest reasons why. Sarah Palin is the second. Others are falling in behind. The country is behind them, and the liberals can't stop them, or the movement to the right with all of their media power. All of this concentrated bitching and moaning about the Arizona Immigration law is going nowhere. These people have no substance, and people who support the "Tea Party" do. That is the only advantage they will need this November. It's time for everyone to get on board this train, or else you'll be walking down the tracks, going nowhere slowly.  Bill T.

McCain is only doing the song and dance to get re-elected.

I would love nothing more then to see him lose. For one, he is the poster boy for RINOs. For two, having the guy they put up for president lose the presidential election and then lose his re-election bid would really shake up the GOP.

Why are you so bitter toward the only party you've got to stop Hussein? So what if he changed his "dance". If his "song & dance" fits the bill, who the hell cares what his reasons are for doing it?? Look, the first and foremost job of ANY politician is to get reelected, by whatever means necessary. The Republicans desperately need a solid majority to stop Hussein from train wrecking the country like he has proven he will do. Don't be like the idiot's who gave us Hussein to begin with, because they wanted to "spite the Republicans". That's foolish. Take what you can get, when you can get it. Bitch about the rest later. Would you rather see democrats hold their seats and even gain just to "get rid of RINOS". That is precisely the kind of foolish thinking in the voting booth that gave us Hussein in the first place.

Remember, stupid white voters gave us Hussein, not blacks, voter apathy, or the far left. These idiot's hated George Bush so much they would have voted for Hitler to spite the Republicans, who didn't, "play the tune they liked". Now, as a direct result we're sitting on a multi trillion dollar health care entitlement that we cannot afford, along with possible infringements on our freedoms too numerous to list. Are you telling me all of this would have occurred if McCain would have won? No way. This type of political mentality is cutting off your nose to spite your face. Same with not voting for McCain because Palin has "no experience". So now you've got Hussein who has less. Is this better? If you reject RINOS, who by the way I don't like anymore than you, just remember you will get a far worse democrat in the process. That is fact. Would you trade off a sore throat for brain cancer if that were your only choice?   Bill T.

Also consider that the Tea Party realizes that a third party will not change things. I believe they are doing the smart thing by taking over the republican party. Just as the current bunch of socialists took over the Democrat party. The difference is that the Tea Party is open about their intentions.
