The Fuzzdady Ass Grip is the Vulcan Nerve Pinch for dogs.  :)
""It may be laid down as a primary position, and the basis of our system, that every Citizen who enjoys the protection of a free Government, owes not only a proportion of his property, but even his personal services to the defence of it, and consequently that the Citizens of America (with a few legal and official exceptions) from 18 to 50 Years of Age should be borne on the Militia Rolls, provided with uniform Arms, and so far accustomed to the use of them, that the Total strength of the Country might be called forth at a Short Notice on any very interesting Emergency." - George Washington. Letter to Alexander Hamilton, Friday, May 02, 1783

That lady was within her right to shoot that dog. The use of force to protect her family is a natural act and not a crime.

The two were seperated at birth. I think that Rob should begin teaching, and MB televising, this unique martial arts move. The Fuzdaddy Ass Grip (FAG) for short, is a marvelous tool everyone should know. It Also works online. Cf. Eric, I would FAG you for that comment, except that I am a gentleman (and it would be really, really gross). ;D
FQ13 who apologizes to Fuzdaddy who is a good guy and doesn't deserve the ridicule. Its just that the FAG (fearsome weapon of DRTV member kung foo) deserves to be passed on, young grasshopper. ;D ;D ;D

I'm impressed, Self defense shooting to picking dogs up by their bung holes in less than one full page.
Maybe Sledge or Phil will know if that's some sort of internet record .  ;D

A mailman in a crappy part of LA told me that was what he did in a last ditch effort to survive as the dog pulled him down. He went for the dog's nuts and when there weren't any - up the butt. I remembered it when a pit grabbed my old english sheepdog. He mostly only got mouthfuls of fur, but he wouldn't stop even with me trying to yank the pit's collar, so he got a thumb. He sat on his ass real fast to keep me away from it and looked at me like his feelings got hurt. He started to get up and I got between him and my dog - again he sat. I think I probably looked at my doctor that way after my first prostate exam too.

My own experience involved a Doberman Pincher.   I figured that full out his forward velocity was about equal to that of a slow pitch softball, hence I chose a baseball bat as my defensive tool.   In my crowded neighborhood a gun may have caused collateral damage.

It was a little stressful, and I had no practice with a projectile that bobbed up and down, so basically I hit a pop-up.   However in this game that is considered a "run".

Good enough. My odds of hitting a charging dog somewhere that will stop it are far lower than my odds of doing so with a baseball bat. If I had one in each hand, I'd have dropped the pistol.

I don't think you’re getting Pincus or Janich demonstrating this technique of Best Defense!
