That country is getting worse by the day. I couldn't think of a worse place to vacation. You can get sand, seawater, and Palm trees right here, and not have to worry about losing your life and money in the process. People who go there are begging for problems.

Used to be a nice country. Their politics and economic politics, with a big assist from our drug laws, screwed it up. Too bad. Doubly too bad as rational people will flee North. Sure, there are a few nice resort areas but, like most resorts, walk a few blocks off the beach and there is nothing but abject poverty...

Just sayin'.....if I want to practice my Spanish, I just have to drive about 10 miles into Worcester, aka.. another shithole..

Poverty and corrupt cops and bad water, yeah (not too different than Fl. back in the day). Just not the violence and all but declared civil war. Pay your bills, don't be a dumbass, and obey the law and you were good. Not so much the case anymore.
