You're only President for 4 years.  8 if you're lucky (or cursed).   The POTUS needs to just suck it up.   Nobody forced him to seek this honor, and by doggies he needs to be fulling the duties and responsibilities of it....which include being Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces.   And as top dog, he needs to spend just a couple of days of the years honoring those who have and who are serving.  It's not like these were arbitrary days, we've known for decades when these days were.   Sorry, about the other "urgent" and unscheduled things.  They come with the territory.

This part was so touching.    ::)
"I expect perdition, I always have. I keep this building at my back, and several guns handy, in case perdition arrives in a form that's susceptible to bullets. I expect it will come in the disease form, though. I'm susceptible to diseases, and you can't shoot a damned disease." ~ Judge Roy Bean, Streets of Laredo

For the Patriots of this country, the Constitution is second only to the Bible for most. For those who love this country, but do not share my personal beliefs, it is their Bible. To them nothing comes before the Constitution of these United States of America. For this we are all labeled potential terrorists. ~ Dean Garrison

Actually its telling. This isn't a partisan post either. What kind of person would want to spend hundreds of millions to get  a job where your vaction plans with your family are put under a microscope? "Pity the Poor Politcian" indeed. You sold yourself for power. Deal with it.

PS What I am trying to say is that I regard politicians, pit bulls and preachers the same way. I recognize the neccesity, I just don't trust any of them.
