Ruger Rimfire Challenge Questions

Hello to all, I've been a shooter for many years. I have just recently began to compete in a local weekly bullseye league with my wife ( new to shooting) with .22's. We both enjoy the time together and she is pretty good as a beginner. My question is this:
We are interested in shooting the Ruger Rimfire Challenge in PA in Oct. Neither of us has shot in any competition like it and we don't want to walk in "cold" and not understand the stages. I have looked at the stages of fire and rules but I still don't understand several points. What are the distances of the targets?  Do you not find out the exact set up till the shoot? Do you shoot all 5 strings in a stage in succession or do others shoot between? To my knowledge none of our local ranges are doing anything like this for practice.


Would be great to get some answers and would surely appreciate the info!

Thats the good thing about DRTV. We may be ignorant, but we aim to be helpful. ;D Try the Ruger Rimfire forum and I am sure folks will be happy to help. It does seem like a fun and inexpensive way to compete. (Plus you don't have to come up with silly names for youself). ;D ;D ;D
FQ13 The Foot in Mouth Kid, but God it was just too easy a shot not to take, sorry Marshall. ;)
PS welcome aboard, and since you are new, I was refering to cowboy action shooting. A member was aking for help on picking his handle. "Help" he recieved. ;D Read it through as warning about what you are dealing with here.
