I don't think the brim has a stiffener in it yet, otherwise it might be less curly.  Right now, though, it reminds me of Robert Urich as Spenser.  That wouldn't be a bad idea, something for a more 20th Century fun crowd.  I know there's IDPA, but that doesn't have the same fun and attitude as SASS.

Maybe something like PEACE - The Private Eye Action Competition Experiment.  The shooters emulate their favorite literary or police cops like Mike Hammer or Tony Baretta.  Trench coats and pork pie hats with a big .45 or a snubby .38 anyone?
