FYI: Chrono Test of Buffalo Bore's Heavy 38 +P 20A

If any are curious about the claims of Buffalo Bore's ammo, I can vouch for their accuracy in load data. Consider the following:

Revolver: S&W 649
Ammo: Buffalo Bore Heavy 38 +P (20A/20) http://www.buffalobore.com/index.php?l=product_detail&p=108
Chrono: PACT Mark IV XP with PACT screens (IR used); screens were 10 feet away (first screen) from firing line.
Data:

#1 - 1021.7
#2 - 1066.2
#3 - 1049.7
#4 - 1092.5
#5 - 1038.8

Avg = 1053.78 fps

Consider the 649 is stainless steel and weighs 23 oz, these loads were pretty snappy. I would not fire this round in a lighter revolver, I think it would be too much. But then again, some like to have their teeth rattled too...  ;D

Good velocity out of a snub.  Might gonna give them there little fellers a try!  You're pushing magnum numbers out of a short barrel!

I think you'll like them. I also like their low flash signature in low light, which I have tested and it worked as stated. The flame thrower effect from a .357 round is neat to see but not very practical.... ;)

Roger that!

Late at range a few weeks ago, shooting right before sundown, in the dusk.  Night blinded for sure!

BB actually uses guns to test thier ammo, not test barrels.  My exp has been  using the same model gun they used for testing, they under rated thier ammo by about 25 fps.
I always break all the clay pigeons,  some times its even with lead.
