Ok, I'll admit it. I watched the show "Hot in Cleaveland".
In my defense I will say that I had a crush on Valerie Bertenelli when I was ten and she was on "One Day At a Time". The clencher was Betty White on SNL a few weeks back. Sweet my ass! She is old enough not to give a f..k enough to bother lieing about who she is. Plus, her sense of comedic timing and nuance is rare. Add to that an 80 something year old putting up with the demanding hours of filming a weekly show? I give her props.
I wanted to say I hated the show, and the first segment sucked, making this a tempting option. I'd like to say I just watched it as an homage to a 5th grader's crush and respect for a tough old broad, but I just can't. It was funny as hell. Not great, but better than anything else on at 10 pm on a Wednesday night. Is anyone else willing to admit they watched the thing?

I didn't watch it, but had I known it was on then I would have...
I had a string of adult crushes on three women from TV series that were similar to Valerie, Valerie being the last.
The first one was Karen Valentine from
Room 222The second was Connie Sellecca from
America's Greatest HeroValerie was the 3rd and final young lady of that phase.
None of the three worked out and, after much soul searching, switched to Blonds.
