Bike week 2010
« on: June 17, 2010, 03:00:59 PM »
I, your not so humble correspondent , regretfully declined tonight's planned program of mind numbing, but compensated , labor, in order to bring you the following, (sort of ) live report from this years Laconia NH Bike Week
The weather has continued it's annual tradition of sucking like a Hoover. The bikes usually start rolling in last Friday, it has been overcast, cool, and showery since last Thurs. evening   ::)  the rest of the week is supposed to be great though.
Today I ventured forth, camera in hand, to check out the Custom Bike show at the Laconia Rail Road Station.

Fancy paint jobs

Customs   ;D

Cuties   ;D  (I REALLY need an insurance quote   ;D  )

And of course, Marines   ;D

I will file further reports as available.

Bikes are nice. 8)  "Insurance" agents are excellent. :o  If they carried, they'd be dang near perfect. ;D

Our yuppie buyer is on his way north for Bike Week.  He puts a ton of miles on his Harley's but he's a bit of a tool!

Enjoy the scenery over the weekend.  Don't get run over....

Sorry no post yesterday or today, my internet service was out till this PM, and I honestly don't feel like posting pictures tonight.
I will note here that I don't go to Weirs Beach where the action, drunks, and Cops are, this is just what I see Down Town and at the Harley Davidson Road tour.
I walked a line of bikes yesterday that went from the river to the Post Office, (little over a mile ) they were side by side all the way up the street, 7 were not Harley's.
I'll get more pics up tomorrow, it's the last day as well as Fathers day.

FIFY!

Sadly, I gave up bikes some time ago, after the 3rd attempt by other drivers to run me off the road - intentionally. Of course I was on a little 350 rice burner at the time. Had I been on a Harley with signs, maybe they would have backed off.   :-\
