Exactly correct. This is why we'll lose in Afghanistanistan. Admittingly, I haven't been paying too close of attention to all of this "Rules of engagement" crap. With that said, it was reported on Fox News yesterday that our troops over there cannot fire unless fired upon. Also, if they are going to search any private homes or buildings for weapons, explosives, etc., they must give the occupants 7 days prior notice!

That is the most completely insane thing I've ever heard of in my entire life! That, and that alone has all but guaranteed we will lose this war, and lose it badly! Can you imagine these stupid, foolish "rules" applied to our side, but not the Japs or Germans in World War II? That would have worked out great on Iwo Jima, Saipan, and Guadalcanal. Also, we cannot call in advance air strikes. I would have loved to have been in the room and heard Truman tell that to Curtis La May. This whole thing is nothing more than an exercise in how NOT to fight a war. Don't think the Iranian government isn't watching all of this, as well as Chavez, Kim Jong Idiot, and even the mexican drug cartels. What is the difference between this and poppy growing Taliban/Al Quada attacking us? I don't get it. This is a war against terrorism. Start flying drones along the border and take these asshats out.
