I reinforced the bunker in the corner, it should at least minimize the pending "incoming"... damage...

her work is only 3 miles, it takes 15 mins tops.  I've never had a car that had a working a/c.


One of her coworks bitched to her about, when they went out to lunch.  I told my wife that if her friend lost 50 lbs, she would not be so hot.

And as they say, thats when the fight started.   ::)


Well not really a fight, more along the lines of shes not fat, "she wieghts 50 lbs more then I do and I'm a foot taller"

Dare I suggest that the wife doesnt take the "not so fat" person out to lunch so often this would alleviate the need for a airconditioner and be beneficial for her friends "non" weight issues  ;D

If that fails give in and tell her you will install a airconditioner for her just like this one.

Here's how you solve the problem. Threaten to get her an AC. I was given my grandmother's POS '81 Escort wagon when she stopped driving. Now I'm not complaining, this was a great deal, free for nothing, to a 17 year old. However, Grandmama was, let's put this charitably, true to her Scottish heritage. She bought the car new with no A/C to save $500. Living in Central Florida,she discovered it was the worst $500 she ever saved and put in an after market A/C. Think an '81 Escort can't get any worse? For 400 1983 dollars I'll correct that assumption. Turning the damn thing off was like hitting after burner in the car. ;D It took a sluggish four cylinder with ok gas mileage and turned it into  a V-8's fuel economy and a a V-2's acceleration. I think I used it twice. Fortunately, the beast had a fuel injector malfunction and it burnt to the axels. I replaced it with a midnight blue 1991 Ford Ranger, also without A/C ($5600 off the lot, brand spanking new). The faster you go, the cooler it gets. ;D
FQ13 who did learn from driving this truck for 7 years in FL and Tx that he will never again own a dark colored vehicle. If its not white, I don't want it. ;)  As Chopper said, HTFU.
