D.C v Heller case
« on: January 28, 2008, 10:50:53 AM »
I was listening to G.Gordon Liddy and his guest from the GOA this morning about how the Solicitor General's brief has thrown the kabash on our rights.  I went to GOA's site and found that there it a Rep Virgil Goode from VA who is getting signatures from other congressmen to get the brief removed.  The site recommended that everyone call the NRA and have them sign on with Rep Goode.  Well, I called and talked to the NRA (being a member anyway), the spokesman (lady) who talked to me said that the Representative's actions were commendable, but once a brief is entered into a case, it is never withdrawn..  She said that the NRA is presenting it's own brief along with Senator Kay Bailey Hutcheson of TX to clarify the case and thereby negate the white house brief.  Looks like they are on the ball.  I just hope that some dumb judge doesn't rule as he likes rather than with the Constitution.  At this point, I will be writing to my Senator and Rep telling them to support Senator Hutcheson (my Senator).  Please watch for updates in the news and contact your Senators and Representatives and let them know how you feel and what to support. We've all got to have an active part in this.

Check out MB's podcast from 2 weeks ago. Also, as was noted on that podcast, the SG brief is looked at as being just a little bit more equal than the other briefs. Make that a lot more equal. GOA was right, this is a major screwgee to the gun owners.
