1 Dead, 3 Shot at San Francisco Gay Pride Event

Sunday, 27 Jun 2010 02:55 PM

One person is dead after a shooting in San Francisco during a gay pride street party.

The San Francisco medical examiner's office said Sunday that 19-year-old Stephen Powell had died.

Powell's cause of death has not been determined
but he was one of three people shot Saturday night during the city's "Pink Saturday" celebrations.

Police say the two other people who were shot, a 19-year-old woman and a 29-year-old man, were injured but are expected to survive. A 19-year-old man is in custody.

The 40th annual gay pride weekend drew thousands to Civic Center Plaza Saturday, and more were expected Sunday for the parade, a concert and comments from U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

Multiple times it is reported, but that's not where the bullets hit.   ::)

Yeah, someone discovered 'gay' doesn't just mean 'happy' anymore.

Did someone mention Slim-Jim's?
"I expect perdition, I always have. I keep this building at my back, and several guns handy, in case perdition arrives in a form that's susceptible to bullets. I expect it will come in the disease form, though. I'm susceptible to diseases, and you can't shoot a damned disease." ~ Judge Roy Bean, Streets of Laredo

For the Patriots of this country, the Constitution is second only to the Bible for most. For those who love this country, but do not share my personal beliefs, it is their Bible. To them nothing comes before the Constitution of these United States of America. For this we are all labeled potential terrorists. ~ Dean Garrison
