The Alaska Adventure
« on: July 02, 2010, 10:19:06 AM »
Okay, okay.   I know everybody missed me.   The wife and I took a two week cruise/tour of Alaska.   Highly recommended.  Just to keep it on-topic:   I did meet a lot of other shooters/hunters both on board and on shore.  Including a cute, blond clerk in one of the jewelry stores at one of the ports.....she's into shooting clays and reloads her own shells.

We left some things undone.  Am anticipating two trips back.  One a cruise and one on our own in a rental car.   We didn't go whale watching, or fishing or hunting or ski-plane up to the arctic circle.  Only got up to the 65th parallel.

And many of these folks (outside of Anchorage area) are living off the grid and are probably the most likely to survive any world wide catastrophe.

Wow, I'm envious to say the least!  I had been planning a mountain lion hunt, for this winter, prior to my health turning on me.  I was going to schedule the same trip for the winter of next year, but after seeing your pictures, I may have to reevaluate that idea.  I have wanted to visit Alaska since I began hunting and you have given me new inspiration.  Glad you had a good / safe trip.   ;)

Great photos of beautiful scenery, Alf...really glad you had a good trip.

Very cool trip - my Mom did the same thing, only her boat was a lot smaller. On my to do list, but there's an RFB out there somewhere with my name on it first.   ;D
