Path, you misunderstand.
I admire him for being a 19th century guy. Its the techno crap that complicates my life that I have issues with. Remember the days before cell phones and voicemail, email, and answering machines? When you weren't home, you weren't home, and they (the boss, the ex, the bill collector, the telemarketer) could just call back later? I'm not the president or a trauma surgeon. I don't feel the need to be available for others' convience 24/7. The 19th, or for that matter the 20th century had much to reccomend it.

There is nothing on Gods green earth so important that I need to be able to access it from my PDA (that I will never own, even as a condition of employment) 24/7. When I am off work, I am freaking off work, I am not your 24 hour butt monkey, unless I am wearing the uniform or being paid a whole lot more money than a teacher gets. As far as social calls? The only technological leap I approve of is caller ID. If I don't leap to answer your call, buy a clue.
FQ13 who does not feel compelled to interrupt his day for anyone who can dial ten numbers in sequense. (and that's the way it was, and we liked it! We loved it! Everything today is new and improved. I hate it! You sir, are nothing but a bald head-kabob. A bald headed freak and the children wil spit at you.
