No the Dems just couldn't garner enough votes so they pulled it, because if it fail on the floor it would be a dead issue. By pulling it they can bring it back for a vote when ever they want. Like if some lunatic shoots up another school and they try to ride the emotion roller-coaster to a yes vote. Just like what happened to the Aussie's!
