Sharpening a serrated knife?

I just lucked out and got a gently used Spyderco Delica combo edge for $28 (yay me!). However, it is dull. How do I sharpen the damn thing? Obviously, my first step is going to be to send it back to the factory where they will do it for me for $5, and who will say no to that? But what I want to know is how to do it myself next time. There are a thousand gizmos out there that will supposedly do it. Which ones work?

I use a Smith's Diamond Pocket Sharpener I bought at wallace-world for less than $10. Works like a round file or old chainsaw sharpener but it is made for knives. It is about the size of an ink pen.

similar to what I use, remember to be careful as you get to the end of the rod, you can scrath up some nice knives with these tools. I just buy straight edged blades anymore. also try to keep to the good STEEL and not stainless as it tends to keep it's edge longer. have fun with the new toy FQ.

Forgot to mention that I only use sharpeners like this on my serrated 'working' knives. My nicer knives only feel Arkansas stones.

just ordered some knives to bring home and sell to the local gun enthusiasts. they also like my surefire. not the price tag though

This is what I use, the picture does not really show the shape that well, the blade is oval, so you use the side edges, which are quite thin, to go into the serrations. They clean very easy, just use a wet rag and done.

I use the Smiths pocket pal - inexpensive and works for me. Says the sharpener blades are replaceable, but I think at $7 at Wally World, the whole thing is replaceable.
