Fellow FN9 owner, and will agree with all previous posts to reliability, accuracy, comfort, and function with all ammo.

The FN platform is fantastic. OBTW, did you at least check out the M+P .45? ::)

If I recall, FNH is offering special pricing on FNPs for NRA Certified Instructors.  Don't know if that appies to you but would be worth checking into.

I almost bought the FNP USG-45 back in January but decided on something else for reasons that had nothing to do with the FNP. I liked everything about that gun so much that when I recently added a 9mm to the collection I went right back to FNH and bought the FNX-9 which has all of the things I liked on the .45 in a 9mm. FN's are great guns and don't get the attention they deserve, which does make finding good holsters a bit of a problem.

Thank you for the opportunity to promote my favorite holster - The Silent Thunder.  Leather lined kydex with adjustable cant and retention.  Can be had in either IWB or OWB configuration.  And it just so happen that they make them for the FNP-9/40 and FNP-45.  I have one for my FNP-9 and really like it.

fnp-45 is great but,
The trigger was ungood from the box, it took hundres of rounds and thousands of dryfires before it became very nice.
I have 10 15 round magazines, none of them will feed Winchester White Box hardball ammo.  All of the 14 rounders feed it but none of the 15 rounders.  15 rounders eat any and all ammo except Winnies.
After a bunch of dryfires and no more Winnie ammo, FNP-45 has become most trusted bed side piece with TLR-2 light/laser.

Great purchase...., triggers are like underwear, if your looking for a "race gun" that can be said for many pistols, and tips and tweaks are out there,  HOWEVER, regardless, when you squeeze it, and it goes bang, in a training or SD scenario, that's all that matters.

It's a fine pistol, looking forward to reading your range report,.....OBTW, you have to post a pic of your new acquisition.
