USING DEADLY FORCE,TO SAVE A CONVIENCE STORE CLERK..

On 1/05/2009 I stopped at a kangaroo gas station.When I pulled up, I seen three men on the notheast side of the store.  I went in the store not knowing one of them had came through the side door. Well I seen him looking in the restrooms and when he got to the counter he was really nervous. My alarms in my head started going off,  he was giving me an uneasy feelin,  knowing there were two other guys outside something said this itsn't right. I had left my cell in the truck, so I told the clerk I'd be right back, As I exited the store so did the one suspect that was scratching the top of his head, almost as a signal for the other suspect to enter. And As I was reasching for my phone I heard a terrifying sceam from inside the store. For a quick second out of my periphal vision, I saw the man's hand go up and down, he was as already behind the counter assualting her. Thats when i saw everyone in the parking lot taking off because of the woman sceaming HELP HELP !! . That's when I opened my console and unholstered my springfield sub-comp xd 40s&w. And ran back in and let it be known I did not no if the suspect was stabbing her, or pistol whipping her ect. When I entered I had cell in my left hand, and my handgun in my right. I got to the counter and said stop I have a gun he stood up with a shiny object in his hand so I double tapped. And that's when it ended "well atleast the robbery" he died as a result of the two gunshot wounds. Ocoee P.D. watched the survalience video and conculded I was justified in my actions. Florida has the stand your ground law. Because of watching the best defence and reading Massad Ayoob articles in combat handguns. I knew to give dispatch location, what I was wearing ect when I heard sirins I dropped the mag out slid the slide lock back and set my weapon on the front seat of my vehicle. So when the arriving officer got on scene I wasn't standing there with a gun in my hand. "OH AND THE MAN I SHOT OFFICERS FOUND A 5" BUTCHER KNIFE IN HIS BACK POCKET" IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO HERE MORE OF THIS STORY YOU CAN GOOGLE. Glad you and the clerk are OK, as for the perp ? F##k him.  When you walk into a store with the intent to rob or kill, you deserve any bad thing that may happen to you.

I applaud you and your outcome, I am assuming Fl has the same laws that TX has about not being sued by the survivors after a justifiable shooting, if it does not, I think I would ask the moderators to remove this thread to protect you. I appreciate your sharing with us and know you have to deal with the emotional aftermath, just remember when you think back on it, " How dare that son of bitch try to hurt someone or kill someone in your presence "  You could have been a sheep and just hit the gas, and let that poor woman die, you chose not too, that is rare these days.
