New Platform for the Venerable M1A/M14
« on: July 23, 2010, 02:49:40 PM »
Have any of you seen the Short Rifle Stock System for the M1A/M14? http://www.ShortRifles.com
Dillon put it on the front page of their August mailing

Now that's something I'd like to have!!! M14 power and reliability in a REALLY nice package!

Actually, I've had the opportunity to test fire this thing - it's AMAZING!  Because the action has been dropped down into the stock (instead of riding ABOVE the stock as in the original M14) it's now directly in line with one's shoulder. Result: less felt recoil than an M4 carbine.

My petite wife fired multiple rapid-fire shots from a standing position, and said the recoil "wasn't noticable."

BTW, inside the August Blue Press there's a pretty interesting write up about it, too.
