I know its been a while folks but this one struck a cord. For the performance to price ratio, Troy Industry's modular system(MSRP under$1k) is a better buy. Not to mention the lower bore axis allows for much faster rates of accurate fire, co-witness B.U.S. sights with reddots, along with a better platform to transfer from Right-to-Left shoulder without eating hot brass and with the collapsed stock is a good CQB/Vehicle gun. Just my 2cents.

Cabela's doesn't sell the Bulldog 762; the only source for it right now is www.ShortRifles.com

It's odd that so many people claim to have seen or even touched the Bulldog 762 at a gun show or store somewhere (and then make unfortunate comments about it) since it's not being sold or even displayed anywhere else than at ShortRifles.com.

I have met Sgt Cabral and even fired the Bulldog on several ocaissions, by the way. Weight is LESS than the standard M14/M1A; balance is phenominal - moves from carry to firing position in less than a heartbeat; effective range remains at 600 yds. for the short version and 1000+ yds for the standard barrel.

A VERY serious tactical rifle!

Were you talking about somewhere other than this form, just curious? I didn't see anyone here say anything about handling one or any mention of Cabela's. It looks like a good idea but I'm a lefty so unless they made a reversed version it would do me know good.
