I try like hell but it's getting more and more difficult to buy exclusively American made anything.

Especially since the wife can't keep her ass out of Wally World...

And I don't care for bourbon or Jack Daniels...... ;D

Try Cruzan Rum. Its made in the US Virgin Islands (there was one spotted as recently as the '50s ;D). It goes well with US made Coke.

No thanks.....we've discussed rum already...  I'll stick to my un-American single malt thank you very much...... ;)

A very well aged, single casked, Makers Mark would suit me but it's getting as expensive as good scotch these days.

p.s...  FQ, you drink like a little girl....rum and coke, mojitos....geez... ;D  Almost as bad as a US Marine drinking peach wine coolers.....

Almost true. I really prefer good beer. If I can't get it do to space constraints (boating, camping etc.), I'll go with liquor, but I really don't like it very much  (the exception being a margarita, mojito or G@T on a really hot day). Thus the mixers. The only thing I like straight is a good anejo tequila.  The only reason I like that is that its not sweet, its strong, and is great without ice, making it the perfect backpacking beverage.

American made Everclear and apple juice, or lemonade. Yum.

And it's distributed (and some of it is bottled) by FL Distilleries in Auburndale.

We used Golden Grain (because it was cheap and we were broke). It is made by the same folks that make Everclear. Being a neutral-grain alcohol, it is distilled to 190 proof (191 is as far as it can go in the distillation process) and 95% ethanol.
Basically legal moonshine.

And, a little goes a looooong way.   8)
