Not to be an apologist for this sort of stupidity, but IF the cops were to sell one of these guns, and IF it turned out to be defective, and IF John Q. Lunchbox blew up his hand, some lawyer would sue the living crap out of LA.  Pro'ly end up owning the city/county and NOBODY can afford that kind of debt.  Still, I would think some sort if disclaimer would eliminate that risk. 

It's still so very sad to see that much potential joy awaiting destruction.

Offered for thought by Crusader who is quietly weeping at his keyboard. :'(

Yes, but you and I both know that is not their motivation.

*BTW, they sell off used vehicles all the time...... What if the brakes were to go out on one of those?
