Ruger .380 pocket gun

My concern would be effectiveness. Dont give me that shot placement BS, when you have to use that little .380 youll be lucky to hit COM . I would use FMJ, no problem with over penetration, or those expanding FMJ. I would not stake my life on a .380. My PT-140 fits in my back pocket , or any pocket for that matter, is easily carried in any position (I carry appendix).I would rather carry a big bore derringer. Just my .02

I'll jump in here as well.   I have both the Millenium pro and the Keltec P3at. 

What is your opinion of that Millennium - not so much for CC compared to others, but as a machine. Are you happy with it's fit and operation?

A friend of mine has a millenium, nice shooting gun, but REALLY long trigger pull for someone used to a 1911

I originally bought it for my wife. The slide racks very easily and it has a very nice trigger pull. It is the "softest" shooter I have. Everyone who has shot it, loves it.   It ended up being too big for her purse, and now she carries a 38 snub.  When I can I carry it as my main CCW.  When I can't, the Keltec.
Mechanically, I have over 1000 rnds thru it without one failure of any kind.  Period.  Nice gun at a nice price. I highly recommend it

In spite of what some may say - I've found a .380 with hollow points to drop just about anything that comes at me. And as far as my life being reliant on it - well it is every day. Of course grouping and more than one hit make a difference - but at 12 yards a Cor-Bon 380 ACP, 90 grain bullet makes a pretty darn big impact.

Rugers are my favorite, and the ammunition you use makes a huge difference - regardless of the weapon.

One shot took down almost 300 pounds of angry attacker. That left me with several for backup should resistance have been an issue.

Zeitgeist72, I would count you lucky, there have been men go down just thinking they were shot, and then there have been men keep fighting after being shot with rifle rounds. Hopefullty you have had your last encounter and will not have to trust the .380 to protect you again.
