Whats the difference between  jet pilot & his plane ? The plane stops whining when you put in the chocks . As far as 97s go I have 7 so 1 is always working .

That's MB's whole point. The adage is "2 is 1, 1 is none." I have never heard anyone say "7 is 1, 1 is none" - for a lot of good reasons.

Did you ever stop to think that if you have to have 7 of something so 1 is always working, that there might be just a wee bit of a problem? ? ? ?

If you have to buy more than 2 of anything, (Murphy IS out there ) to have 1 work, you may be investing in a piece of crap.

Sounds to me like the 97's are pieces of crap, and you are both tossing good money after bad simply for image.
If you were after substance you would do like MB has resigned himself to, buy something that works so you don't look like either a sucker or an amateur.

There are 2 things to remember about the 97 . 1) the newest one is more than 50 years old . 2) We are using them in a way John Browning never intended . Cowboy shooters put more rounds through one in a month than a duck hunter would put down range in several years . Considering these conditions I am surprised they work as well as they do .
