The best thing about shoulder rigs:  Going to the bathroom is hassle free!

The jackass has been around forever and may be the best thought-out and best materials out there. Shoulder carry is on you- it has it's + & -, but for the genre, the jackass looks to be the base model for all shoulder rigs. And with a name like "Jackass?"...for me it's a marriage made in heaven!

Howdy WW
, I have a Galco Jackass rig for my 1911  with extra accessories to convert it for snub .38's. It is one of the most comfortable rigs I have ever worn. The only thing I would say is a must is the offside tie down should be added. That will keep the rig equalized as far as weight goes. Quality is top notch. Mine is set up so I can carry either 2 extra magazines or 1 extra magazine and a Gerber Mk1 knife, just by changing the off side carrier. Hope this helps.

I liked mine but I'm so skinny it showed thru my clothes unless I wore something really baggy. But should work fine for normal size and larger folks.

I tried several shoulder rigs...  the glaco jack ass rig was the only one that I could conceal with.  I'm 6'  130 lbs.    the more downward angle really helps.

I'm 6-1 and 180 pounds i should be able to conceal the kimber ultra aegis with the jackass shoulder rig right

Even though shoulder rigs look very confortable... I feel you have to wear a jacket of some kind for proper concealment. I carry a CDP Pro and the QUICK SLIDE BELT HOLSTER does the trick for me. All you need is a loose fitting untucked shirt and you're good to go.



As far as shoulder rigs go... you need to be fairly large to wear it with suit. Plus need to consider what type of cannon you're carrying.

Tried a shoulder holster for a few days, but couldn't get used to it rubbing my arm or side all the time. But thats just me.
