Magazine Storage
« on: August 09, 2010, 07:13:31 AM »
Got tired of the little cardboard trays that I was using to hold my magazines.  They were also taking up valuable room in the safe that is now needed for......uh.......GUNS!

So this was my solution.    one of those plastic storage boxes (two actually) with dividers.  I threw away the top and only use the bottom.  The compartments can be tailored so the mags aren't laying down, jumbled every which way and I can see at a glance what I have.

As you can tell, I'm woefully lacking in some categories.   Definitely need a lot more for XD-40 and for 1911.  Right now my magazine wish list is about $1,300.     A couple of month....slow and steady.

Good idea alf, I see the "other" Walther mags are still there.....

All my mags, and speedloaders all ride in a plastic case, a little disorganized, and your plan at least keeps them itemized....Hmmm....

Thanks.

The P99 isn't going away.  I only have 5 mags at the present, but slowly I'm building up.

Heck I'm in a talkative mood.  For those interested:
Top Row L-R.  3 for P99 in 40, then 4 - S&W mags for Camp 9 and on the far right Ruger Mk I
2nd Row: little mags are for CZ 452 in .17M2, then XD9 w/ green markings to go with OD color of gun
3rd Row:  Winchester 77 .22lr, then XD40 mags no markings to match the black gun.
4th Row:  XD reloading tool, Buckmark mags and then 1911 ones.

Larger magazines for AR and M1 Carbine are in separate tray.
