While the anti-establishment Tea Party movement has gained significant ground and is now a rising and powerful political force to be reckoned with, many of the president’s own supporters as well as independents are rapidly losing faith in Barack Obama, with open warfare  breaking out between the White House and the left-wing of the Democratic Party. While conservatism in America grows stronger by the day, the forces of liberalism are growing increasingly weaker and divided.

The RealClearPolitics average of polls now has President Obama at over 50 per cent disapproval, a remarkably high figure for a president just 18 months into his first term. Strikingly, the latest USA Today/Gallup survey has the President on just 41 per cent approval, with 53 per cent disapproving.

Not really sure why this is a "stunning" decline. People are finding out what he really is. What many of us knew before he was elected. The more they know about him, and the way he thinks, the less they like him, and the more they fear the destruction that he is causing.

I saw the start of the decline with the loss of the Senate seat filled by Kennedy.

Was disappointed it didn't  have any effect on Obamacare, but I'm glad to see the momentum picking up.

Do not count him out yet....I liken him to Muhammad Ali. For those who know something about boxing knows Ali was the master of hanging around letting his opposition wear themselves down and then closing for the kill in the late rounds. I believe Obama, like Clinton, actually will like a divided Congress - it gives him more maneuvering room.

Just remember everyone thought Clinton was down and out in early 1995 and he went on to win a second term convincingly against Bob Dole. Obama could manage to pull off the same thing.....

He still carries 88% approval from African Americans, I'll just keep my opinions to myself on that one, it is down 10 pts. from last year.

Historically, when a POTUS reaches 41% National approval,....well, November looks good, and making BHO a one term POTUS even more favorable.

And BHO is just getting his stride with his Inner Jimmy Carter.

None of this matters. It would matter if bho really gave a crap about us or his presidency, but he does not. He was installed to do exactly what he is doing. It's as if a second term was never even planned, so much damage has been done in this first - and God willing only - term.

So none of the 10 reasons matter - because his job is to ignore all of us and destroy this country economically and politically, laying us open and bare for a Muslim infiltration and/or attack, while lining the pockets of his friends and handlers worldwide.

Does anyone else get this, or is it just me?

His Ramadan "praising" speech Tues was really telling. I could only take 90 seconds or so. He sure did know the proper terminology for all the specific Ramadan dinner events....

Ok, can I suggest you two take a pill? Seriously, you accuse me of being an irrational Bush hater and then you give me this? You make the guys who say we conspired with Mossad to blow up the Towers to get oil seem rational. And Path, as a Christian brother? Find another church. I'm not going to suggest the Episcopalians or even the Evangelical Lutherans or United Church of Christ as I know I would be wasting my breath. But maybe the Missouri Synod Lutherans or Methodists?  Just a thought. Seriously man, religion and politics really don't mix that well.
Anyway, be of good cheer, history is on your side. Historically speaking, most first term presidents lose seats in their first midterm election. When they drop below 45%? There is a real chance of one House shifting over. The downside? There is a about a 12 month delay between passing a policy and seeing its effects. So, BO will either be hanged or praised sometime in 2011 when the results are in. I'm leaning towards hanged, but the GOP seems to hare borrowed the Dem's ability to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Still, speaking professionally, this should be a good year for the GOP. What's stopping it from being a great year (circa 1994) is the GOP. They are a party in search of a message. They have 3 months. If they follow in Newt's footsteps and come up with a national platform that stresses a positive agenda they might take both houses. If they don't? Maybe the House, but still just a few seats when they could gain a lot more. Memo to the GOP: Find a leader and a message! Yesterday!

Spoken like a true hypocritical Christian. If you actually read the Bible instead of using as a paperweight, you might have guessed instead that the Preacher was talking about being alert for God's actions in our lives. Take your own advice, and find a church that actually uses the Word as a guide for life, rather than for something to be ignored or rejected.

However, his advice still applies - Be Alert. Something is up, I have a sense that right now - after all the hoopla on the big gummint so-called healthcare bill, and the steal from foodstamps to save the teacher's union jobs bill - is the calm before a storm.

A lot of sabers have been rattling, and we have an election coming up - midterm tho it may be - nothing like a nice little August-September-October surprise to keep the majority in kongress.

Question - why did an Iranian General just say that his troops have dug mass graves for our troops when they attack? Why did he say that now? Just saber rattling? Or was he responding to the NSA (?) guy who said a couple months ago we have a plan to attack Iran?

WTF is going on?
