A Gay bar would be both offensive and inappropriate. What you want is a lesbian bar. Specifically a leather lesbian bar with "bull dykes" (and I use that term the same way they do, no slur intended) leading fems around on leashes outside. Throw in a pork rind and beer truck and a right wing nut job street preacher (preferably female and newly converted from Islam) and add a titty bar (excuse me, "gentleman's club" named the "Seventy Virgins"? There's your neighborhood improvement program.

A Ribs place across the street and street vendors selling pulled pork sandwiches and a boutique  specializing in pig skin clothing and a 24hr breakfast bar on the corner putting the smell of bacon cooking in the air all day.

Would be a shame of the local rowdies were to hit the place with water balloons filled with pig blood...but anything might happen in NY...
