But first the Obamas will be traveling to the Gulf Coast of Florida for a mini-vacation as a way to encourage other vacationing Americans to head to the beaches that have been shunned by tourists worried about oil-slicked sands due to the Gulf oil spill. They are expected to travel to Florida this weekend, return to Washington for a few days then it's off to the Massachusetts island August 19

Eric, I half agree with you. Clinton's golfing and W's "endless summers" bugged me. Obama? He's pushing for a record. Still, him coming to Florida? Please, thank you, come again and bring friends. THERE IS NO FREAKING OIL!!!!!!!!!! And yet people's livelihoods are being ruined because journalists keep hyping this. Even in the Keys I got a very nice room at a blue collar motel for $60 (unheard of during the tarpon run in Islamorada). Hell even the guide wanted to discount the trip by $50 but I wouldn't let him as it wasn't his fault. THERE IS NO FREAKING OIL!!!!! Props to BO if he gets cameras to focus on oil free beaches.

the last vacation I had was after I got bit by a spider and was unable to move my arm for 5 weeks.   >:(

Even then It was only a few days.

I always break all the clay pigeons,  some times its even with lead.

Reagan and W went back to the ranch, which I understand--splitting firewood is therapeutic.  It wasn't roughing it, it was smoothing it.  The left still complained about the cost, just for security. 

Now these two are making Lindsay Lohan look responsible.

Believe me, I haven't forgotten. I also haven't taken back a word said about BP. But at this point anyone who helps out is welcome. I mean, when one of the hardest working guys I've met (you try poling a 2,000 pound skiff loaded with three people around on the flats for four hours) offers to give you a discount? When your hotel costs less than it did four years ago? When you give a ridiculously lareg tip in a restaraunt because the food and service are great and you're one of the four guys in there and they should be packed? You'll take what you can get. Folks are hurting. Want to go fishing? Come to Florida's Gulf Coast. You'll never get a better deal and folks need the money. And oh, THERE IS NO FREAKING OIL!!! ;D
