My bet is the MSM will cover this about a week after he loses re-election.

http://www.washingtontimes.com/blog/watercooler/2010/aug/12/1993-flip-flop-senreid-introduced-bill-clarifying-/
Quote
"TITLE X—CITIZENSHIP 4 SEC. 1001. BASIS OF CITIZENSHIP CLARIFIED.  In the exercise of its powers under section of the Fourteenth Article of Amendment to the Constitution of the United States, the Congress has determined and hereby declares that any person born after the date of enactment of this title to a mother who is neither a citizen of the United States nor admitted to the United States as a lawful permanent resident, and which person is a national or citizen of another country of which either of his or her natural parents is a national or citizen, or is entitled upon application to become a national or citizen of such country, shall be considered as born subject to the jurisdiction of that foreign country and not subject to the jurisdiction of the United States within the meaning of section 1 of such Article and shall therefore not be a citizen of the United States or of any State solely by reason of physical presence within the United States at the moment of birth."

Even the summary of the bill contains language that would offend many of Mr. Reid's supporters who are pushing amnesty for illegal immigrants in the United States:

"A bill to curb criminal activity by aliens, to defend against acts of international terrorism, to protect American workers from unfair labor competition, and to relieve pressure on public services by strengthening border security and stabilizing immigration into the United States."

I'm curious Eric. Does this change your mind about the guy?
FQ13 who is simultaneously ROFL and beating his head against the wall. If Reid simply remained true to stuff like this, Guns, tough immigration policies, and yes even healthcare, though I don't like it, he could be walking to re-elction. Everyone respects an iconoclast who doesn't vote "inside the box" out of principle or pragmatism. On the other hand, a guy who shifts with the wind? not so much. I really, really don't want Schumer in charge, and if this gets out in NV, Reid is toast. Arizona's law targets illegals. This is going after their kids. No Mexican (sadly) will vote for him if this gets hammered home. As a result, trde a pro gun Dem for a pro gun Republican and get the most anti-gun senator out there put in charge. ::)

Well, from your mouth to God's ear. Though it might shock Eric (and gee, that's hard), I actually want the GOP to retake the Senate. One party government was bad under W., and its proving equally bad, or arguably worse, under BO. If ever there was a place for the opposition party to have power, its the Senate, with its veto over appointments and treaties.

For the record Eric, thats three posts bashing me without an argument. Here's the thing. I'm about as easily offended as Tom. If you want to hurt my feelings? Good luck. But, and here is the point, I am persuadable. Board members have helped changed my mind on carrying in church, my woeful decision to vote for BO (actually, reality did that, but y'all helped), and certainley persuaded me  to view a limited amnesty for some illegals   as not a necessary evil, but just an evil. So, I can be brought around if you use reason. Insults? DILLIGAF Eric.

I think you are being a Jerk Eric, If you don't like FQ's posts , don't read them.
Otherwise you sound like the type of asshole liberal that we condemn.

Seriously? He makes a comment like he did, and I am acting like a deranged liberal ???

Sorry, but its time for him to go. Yes, he is very much entitled to his opinion (I could care less what he thinks about Bush, and I'm actually not too fond of him either), but I have had enough of his bomb throwing. He has overstayed his welcome.
