I am visiting my mother in Vero Beach Florida for a couple of days. While I was in Iraq She and her husband took an NRA safty course and purchased a firearm for home defense. While talking to her I found out that she has not shot the pistol since they purchased it. So I took her to the Indian River County Public Shooting Range. Boy am I envious what a nice facility very well run and super clean. Range master on the pistol range was great and is a former Marine Vietnam Vet. Mom was only able to shoot for a little more than an hour due to physical limitations. At first she was very nervous due to lack of being familiar with the pistol. So I fired ten rounds my self to test the pistol first, for me it hit a little low and to the left. It will not properly feed the last round so I will chaulk tha up to the new magazines not being broke in yet. After some coaching from me and some changes in her grip i was able to get her on target and then finally on paper for the last ten rounds. It was a good time for her and I now I have to convince my sister to take her at least once a month to keep her familiar and on target.
