One Less Career Politician In Florida
« on: August 24, 2010, 10:01:16 PM »
Sorry, the "Institutional" candidate Bill McCollum LOST!!!

Endorsed, by Jeb Bush, Newt Gingrich, Rudy Gulianni, Mitt Romney, Michael Reagan, who ALL sucked up and owed him something after his 20 + years in politics...MEANT NOTHING.... ( I hope their paying attention also)...

Yes, McCollum stepped up against Obamacare, but he flip flopped like Gov. Crist on whatever the polls showed, especially immigration. NO Principles, and a LOSER.

Scott the winner, is a rich boy, but NOT a career politician. Either way it's a new direction.

NO Incumbents!!!!!!!

I Voted for NEW Bums!!!!. and maybe,....just maybe,....they will GET IT. If Not, he'll go too. Shame that such a small turnout occurred. Can we propose REVOKING one's citizenship if they Don't vote?
 Kinda like a convicted felon.

Let's have another toast FQ. ;D
Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."
Col. Jeff Cooper.

Amen, I don't like the guy, but he was better than the establishment candidate, McCollum. He's been in one office or another longer than I've been able to vote. I'm glad Scott won. The only outsider I didn't vote for is Jeff Greene, but when Mike Tyson is your best man? I'll take the establishment over the Springer Show. Scott, though I probably (not definately, just probably) won't vote for him, is a good sign. A toast indeed. Confusion to the enemy!

I too am glad he lost but for a more obscure reason.

He offered the language that made it equivalent to owning an automatic weapon if one had any part (specifically sears) that could be used to convert a semi to a full auto. He also was a cosponsor and voted for the Hughes Amendment of FOPA '86:

FYI: Turnout in Duval county was around 22% - pathetic.....

Its Libertarian in that race. Scott's social conservatism plus shady past vs Sink? No to both. I might change my mind as November gets closer, but that's how I'm leaning now.

FQ, come clean...  When the time comes, you'll pull the handle for the socialist Sink.  I'm certainly not crazy for Scott, but when you compare him to that looney-leftie Alex Sink...  well, there IS no comparison.  But, she's your kind of pol.

In the struggle to find someone honest, moral, and conservative, we Floridians have consistently hit the FAIL button.  No difference this time, but at least we won't have McCollum to kick around.  That is a partial weeding out of the career pols. Next, we have to dump Suntan Charlie.
“I’ve lived the literal meaning of the ‘land of the free’ and ‘home of the brave.’ It’s not corny for me. I feel it in my heart. I feel it in my chest. Even at a ball game, when someone talks during the anthem or doesn’t take off his hat, it pisses me off. I’m not one to be quiet about it, either.”  Chris Kyle

Silly rabbit
The Quaker learned that lesson. Not again. Barring Scott doing something monumentally awful, or Sink doing something great, its the libertarians for me in this race.

Hey FQ, you may not have noticed but the "social" liberals are almost never "Fiscal" conservitives.
You may be pro abortion, but since you are not likely to get pregnant, and the SCOTUS spoke on the subject , what, 30+ yrs ago, it should be a non-issue.
If you continue to give this issue importance in your choice you will continue to vote for "Obama's" and wondering why you got fu#ked.
