The recent rally and protest in NYC, brought out several thousand folks opposing the Mosque, it also brought out a "few" supporters.

This is a GRAPHIC/LANGUAGE Video, of a "far left Bloomberg Liberal, who decides to be of enough "class" to belittle and insult a Holocaust survivor. An 82 year old man. 

If you have problems with profanity from a Liberal idiot, please don't watch.

This Mosque tears me up. My loyalty to our principles on one side versus Hell No on the other. I go with principle, but it wasn't an easy call  and both are valid. To berate another American over this crap? Much less a survivor? Bin Laden is buying popcorn.
FQ13 who thinks this is a serious moment where thoughtful people will agree to disagree on the policy, but agree that they hate the freaking mosque being there. We shouldn't tear each other up over this.

The stated purpose of building this mosque in this location is to promote the healing process, and foster understanding of Islam.  Now I'll admit that I'm not always the sharpest needle on the cactus, but if the STATED purpose were the ACTUAL purpose, wouldn't common sense indicate to those who want to build the place that the construction will not only retard the healing process, but will exascerbate tensions between relatives of those lost on 9/11 and the islamic community, rather than heal them?

Somebody please point out the flaw in my thought process.

If Imam Rauf, (funded with our taxdollars on his fundraising galavants), was truly wishing to promote an "olive branch" and extend Islam as a religion of peace, he would renovate the Mosque TWO BLOCKS OVER.

As a FDNY spokesman told local news: "Day can go down to West tirdy-third street dares a Mosque right on da corna". (Hard to type a heavy NY accent),

There are approx. 30 Mosques in Manhattan. Many have been there for decades. ......FINE.

Realize the insensitivity, the jab to those family members that lost loved ones on 9/11, and renovate an existing Mosque or buils elsewhere.

Even Trump, a born and raised New Yorker, says, "Bad Idea".

The Imam, has said some inflammatory remarks, going back to Spring 2002 on 60 Minutes, an Aussie interview, and the funding can't pass the smell test.

Bloomberg, has offices in Dubai and Saudi Arabia, promoting his "stake" in investing in NY........Hmmmm.... Geee......another smell test,...FAIL....

It's just a trophy mosque, promoted by those that would love to make us another European country, infiltrated by a mass Muslim immigration policy, that are now regretting it.

More mosques than churches in England.... Don't we get it yet? Seems 68-70% of America doesn't want it 500 feet from Ground Zero,.. yet, Bloomberg, and the current Admin just keep pushing.
