Will this be the new superhype since we failed to all be killed by Swine Flu, and the Gulf oil mysteriously disappeared ?

MIAMI – Hurricane Danielle remains far out over the Atlantic, but the Category 2 storm is still expected to bring dangerous rip currents to the U.S. East Coast.

Danielle's maximum sustained winds were near 110 mph (175 kph) on Saturday. It is about 325 miles (525 kilometers) east-southeast of Bermuda and is forecast to pass well east of the island Saturday. The U.S. National Hurricane Center in Miami says a tropical storm watch has been issued for the island.

Farther out in the Atlantic, Tropical Storm Earl has maximum sustained winds of 55 mph (90 kph). It could strengthen into a hurricane this weekend.

First off, any rough weather can cause "Rip" tides and severe currents, 2nd, "well East of Bermuda" puts it in the middle of the ocean.
And Earl ? 55 mph ?
Now for my real rant, I recently saw somethings in the news about "Katrina survivors".
The first was that they were being hurt by the crappy economy, the second that they were complaining because the 9-11 families got more money than they did.
F#ck the Katrina survivors, it was 5 years ago, you don't hear the people in Fla. whining about Andrew, you don't hear Texans moaning about Rita. The reason is twofold, first, neither of those places is run by Dems with their culture of hand outs for drones, secondly, the people of those places were not so stupid as to build below the level of the local rivers and swamps.
The only "Katrina survivors left now are the scumbags that doubled the Houston murder rate and the parasites wanting more free stuff on our dime that they are to lazy to get for them selves.

You are correct in your rant tom. Never hear a collective "peep" from those in Mississippi that were ALSO torn up pretty good by Katrina.

Or those just outside of New Orleans.

In all those other places you hear NOTHING from is because of a WORK ETHIC, Personal Responsibility, and TOOLS!!!! They all rebuilt their homes, businesses, infrastructure, and took care of themselves, and their neighbors.

They didn't "whine" for a handout, pre-paid debit cards, (that were used in strip clubs and liquor stores), or had their houses, and neighborhoods looted either.

Instead of waiting in line "ats da' gubmint bldg' fo my free sh**",, these folks rebuilt their sh** themselves.
If Liberalism is so good, why are the Liberal Cities and states in such ruin? N.O. should be a Lib Nirvana right?

They shipped a load of the reprobates up here and housed them at Otis in Falmouth, the crime wave began and continued until they were sent somewhere else.  About the only thing that came of it was the increase in liquor sales at the local packy's.

Scum will be scum regardless of where they end up.  I'm sure there were decent people in the mix but it's hard to separate them for the sake of argument.  I'm sure they're still sucking on 40's provided by our tax dollars somewhere.

I've said for a while to use the 9th Ward as a landfill.
