I haven't seen this before, but had read that gun sellers would be "put to the test" and in essence, "set up"....

However, from the article:

   1. Why is the illegal alien who purchased the gun, Leonel Huerta Sr., still living in Austin?
   2. Why does he still have a Texas Driver’s license?
   3. Why is ATF using illegal aliens to set up and convict American citizens?
   4. What has he been promised for his cooperation?
   5. Why has he not been prosecuted? He committed three distinct crimes: he purchased a firearm knowing he was an illegal alien, he possessed the firearm, and he transferred the handgun to another illegal alien (Hippolito Aviles, who was convicted and given time served on June 30, 2010).
   6. Why has Huerta Sr. not been deported?

Perhaps I'm missing something, but I have to show electric bills, SS cards, birth certificates, and/ or tax returns, to renew MY Drivers License,...and I'm a blonde haired white boy!

How does an illegal get a D.L. ? I know it happens but it sure does seem tough for a "white boy" like me to get one.

I actually had to walk away from the computer for a minute. As most of you know, I can get a little snarky at times. Generally its all in good fun. Rarely do I get seriously angry. Well, this one of those times. So I'm hoping that Rastus and Path will forgive me if I quote the Gunny in full, 3rd comandment be hanged.

Let me get this straight. He was busted for not assuming a latino was an illegal alien and refusing to sell him a gun, which a state issued ID said the guy was entitled to? This is a sting? It could just as easily have gone the other way. The headline? "Racist gun dealer won't sell to latinos"!
There are not words in English or Spanish to describe how pissed I am at this. Screw these people, and I only wish I was on that jury so I could have yawned and looked at my watch during the prosecution's closing statement!

It does not sound like he had a jury trial, just the judgement.  It is not illegal to sell guns from individual to individual in TX, even if you have a table at a gunshow, even if you don't ask for ID, this is a sham, I hope the NRA or TSRA step in, and get a new trial, federal or Texas law he did not break. I'm Pissed

Let me get this straight.  The federal government sues Arizona to prevent them from verifying immigration status, but prosecutes a gun dealer because he doesn't do what they say Arizona can't do?
