Seems all the kinks have been worked out.

Bolt it to an A-10 Warthog:

Priceless.... don't let the 15 second mark fool you, it was merely a heads up.....

Love an ugly plane with big guns.

Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."
Col. Jeff Cooper.

I have always thought the A-10 was the 'cats meow'. ;)

Saw some of the first deployed in about 78 in FRG.  AWESOME!  2 runs on a tank in less than 10 seconds!  It can do an actual wing stall, nose over and return.  Pilots near me watching it were saying things like ' airplanes don't do that!' and "I want one!".

I was on a field exercise when an A-10 went by and made a banked turn. He had the plane turned over so far that I was looking right at the pilot. I never saw another plane do that. When they were practice shooting they would go staright at the target, make a puff of smoke and turn away sharper than any plane I ever saw. Then I would hear the gun "burp". Awesome plane to watch on manouvers.

My favorite plane in the whole wide world. If I could fly (I can't) I would do anything to get behind the stick on one of them. From what I've read pilots LOVE them. Besides the gun, besides the bomb payload, and besides the awesome handling, you can get the crap shot out of it and still fly it home. I love it.

I love how they designed and built the gun, then designed the plane around it.

That's called purpose-built, son!   ;D
