I was back in MA today and managed to get to the range with the future SIL. Didn't have any of my stuff as it's all locked up in CT at the other house.
100 yards using a standard IDPA silhouette.
Bushy AR15 with and Eotech.....managed to keep all thirty rounds in the "0" center mass and the head area.
Remy 700, .308 with a Leupold scope, magnification unknown....six rounds in about a five inch group.
Now, before I get hammered for the crumby groups, remember....I have pressed a rifle trigger about forty times in the last forty years and I'm not seeing the sights for shite...so if this were a whitetail deer, it would surely be dead!
Also got some trigger time with my daughters Sig P228 and placed four magazines, exactly 52 rounds into the center mass circle of an IDPA silhouette target at 25 yards, which, considering I haven't shot much this year, ain't too shabby. I've changed my opinion of Sigs today. I used to think they were a bit top heavy but after shooting her Sig and Mikes P226 today, that may just be my next purchase. The Sigs just hit what they're aimed at, period...quite impressed, again!
