Anyone been watching ammo prices lately

still high but some bargins out there if you have the time  picked up a 1000 rds of Winchester 9mm 115gr FMJ for 200.00 delivered. ;D :o :D

When I see great deals like that on FMJ I can't help but wonder if it's worth it to pull the bullets and press in your favorite flavor hollow point... 

More tempting with rifle ammo, but still.  Seem's like a HUGE money saver when you price factory HP's!

Reliability of the cheap primers might be an issue.  :-\

I have seen some real deals out there. No more than 2 weeks ago I purchased Tula 7.62x39 for 3.49 a box. Needles to say 2000 rounds were delivered and planning a range day very soon.

prices have gone up locally in the last 6 months
I always break all the clay pigeons,  some times its even with lead.

Two weeks ago, Adventure Outdoors (Atlanta area) ran a special of name brand 9mm FMJ for $8.99/50 limited 10 boxes.
Will work for ammo

Finally, some deals are around. Cheaperthandirt, luckygunner.com, sportsmanguide.com all have good deals.

The milsurp, FMJ's, target/range ammo is pretty darn good.

Even some SD top-shelf JHP's are becoming "somewhat reasonable",....hopefully it will trickle down to 45Colt. :-\

Had great success with Silver Bear 62gr. .223 HP's from CTD,  less than $4.89 per 20.

Bought 100rds. 180gr TMJ .40S&W from BMI, at luckygunner.com for $24.00, $10.00 shipping.

Deals on .45ACP as well.

The cheap ammo is a good way to build your brass inventory.  Pick up every one you fire...and every one someone else left laying around....you chamberings or not.  Maybe we can get a Brass Exchange going here?

Buy reloading components now and save them, getting the brass from the cheap loaded stuff you are buying too.

my local wallyworld has 9mm for 9.89 per box so its all coming down a bit.

What worry's me about this is now their talking about states requiring "all lead free ammo" for any type hunting!  I've known a few fella's who had DNR ask to check their ammo before (for quantity in the gun, using slugs, or caliber)
