I was looking at some of Quinn's Gun Blast videos on You Tube yesterday, and found one on one of the best Marlin Model 60's I've ever seen. It is a limited production, 50th Anniversary Edition.

Like all tublar mags, cleaning them is very important.  more so with a blow back action.
I always break all the clay pigeons,  some times its even with lead.

I just checked stock with Davidson's and they're all sold out. When I ordered mine yesterday there were 7 in stock, now it's showing 0. They really went fast.  Bill T.

Just some math I found interesting as well as impressive. While watching Jeff Quinn's video on the Marlin Model 60, he mentioned that in the 50 years Marlin has been producing the Model 60, they have produced over 11,000,000..... eleven million of them. If you divide that out it comes to a little over 602 rifles manufactured and sold per day. 7 days a week, 365 days a year, for 50 straight years! That's a pretty phenomenal achievement for a single .22 rifle. I can't even begin to imagine the amount of ammunition that has been fired through them in that time.    Bill T.

I put Melanie to work with her shovel and she did some digging and came up with this on the new Marlin 60 DLX 50th Anniversary Edition.

The DLX--- S/N was the pre-production number and only 1,000 were made from DLX000 to DLX999. The regular production numbers are DL0000 to DL9999 and only 10,000 will be produced in 2010 then that's it! No more Black Walnut!

So, with that said, this line is still a short run of 11,000, (less than 1/10th of 1% of total production to date), with the first 1,000 of the DLX numbers being a little more collectible somewhere down the road. Bottom Line, these rifles are going to be harder and harder to find as more and more are being put into gun safes for collectibles, and simply put it's the best looking model 60 ever made. If your a Marlin 60 lover you'll want to have one.   Bill T.

These are some quick pictures I took this morning. I'm pretty pleased with the stock. It's a nice looking .22 for the money. The Walnut looks so much richer than the Birch.  Bill T.

Yeah, what he said.....  :D
"I expect perdition, I always have. I keep this building at my back, and several guns handy, in case perdition arrives in a form that's susceptible to bullets. I expect it will come in the disease form, though. I'm susceptible to diseases, and you can't shoot a damned disease." ~ Judge Roy Bean, Streets of Laredo

For the Patriots of this country, the Constitution is second only to the Bible for most. For those who love this country, but do not share my personal beliefs, it is their Bible. To them nothing comes before the Constitution of these United States of America. For this we are all labeled potential terrorists. ~ Dean Garrison
