FQ13 who noticed the Gunny on a Law and Order SVU episode last week. He didn't look a day older and still played the convincing psycho. It was a stretch I'm sure, but he's a great actor like that. ;)

"Full Metal Jacket", and "The DI" with Jack Webb, are probably the 2 most accurate portrayals of USMC boot Camp ever produced by Hollywood.
"The DI"  Was  filmed at MCRD San Diego in 1957, except for the "stars" all the non speaking roles extra's etc are the real thing.
